It’s no secret that the rear suspension of the new Yamaha yz450 2023 is quite stiff, especially its fast travel. It is suitable for fast riders who take fast supercross turns. Classic motocross is all about speed, so a more comfortable compression stroke is needed to avoid steering jerks at high speeds. Here it is – yz450 2023 rear shock absorber shim stack modified by Jurka (YR). Only the compression shims needs to be changed, the rest remains as it is. Did you notice that I also added a crossover shim? Lighter 80 kg riders should ride with 105mm race sag, heavier 85-95 kg riders with 108-115 mm. My weight is 112 kg, I ride with 117 mm race sag. The front KYB fork is excellent, nothing needs to be changed here. The best KYB fork ever!
